Job Club could help to avoid Benefit Sanctions

SELECT Computer Hub – FREE JOB CLUB for Kirkmuirhill and Blackwood and surrounding area.

What's the story? - SELECT (Supporting Employment and Learning by Empowering Communities in Technology) – This is a volunteer-based, peer mentoring ICT (Information & Communication Technology) skills development service that provides clients with the necessary ICT skills in job search, using Universal Jobmatch including AVOIDING BENEFIT SANCTIONS, financial and welfare services, goods and services and personals learning and development.

Facilities are completely FREE to local people on a drop-in basis every Wednesday 9.30am – 11.30pm at Thornton Road Community Centre, Kirkmuirhill. The project is open to all members of the local communities.

Service users have felt the benefit of using SELECT from help with using Universal Jobmatch, completing a job search and CV to gaining confidence and IT skills.
